Should Students be Able to Grade Their Teachers?

I honestly do think that students should be able to grade their teachers that they have for their classes. Usually students really don’t have the power to give their teacher a “grade” and tell them what they should work on to help improve their teaching skills. If students were able to,  I would be sure that it would help the teachers improve not just on their teaching skills, but on also  understanding the very different types of ways their students learn.
I think if students had the option to do so they would be honest and I think it would help the schools understand that some teachers aren’t fit to be teaching. College students are able to evaluate a.k.a “grade” their professors and express what the professors are doing right and what they are doing wrong. This evaluation is mostly for the teachers to know what aspect of their teaching is good for the students and also what isn’t good for them.
I know for a fact that students have had that one teacher in their lives that they wish they could help correct and tell them that what they are doing for the class isn’t helping, I know I have. Sometimes teachers themselves do give the students an opportunity to do so, but most really don’t. If teachers did give that opportunity or if they were more open with their students then it would be easier to connect to how they learn.
I just find that some teachers could care less about teaching their students the required material and just teach whatever. I know that teachers have a life outside of school, but they signed up to be a teacher not just a supervisor of the classroom. I’ve had my fair share of these types of teachers and I just feel they either need a wake up call or don’t even need to be teachers.
Teachers are educated adults who should be able to help you academically, not people who are confusing their students or not even caring about them. I just think that a grading system for teachers would really show what their students think about how the teachers run their classroom and their teaching as a whole. It’s just a polite way of just expressing what students’ feel what their teachers are doing well in and what they might need to improve.
I just feel like this should be a topic to talk about because middle school and high school students should be able to express their thoughts about their teachers and just give them a “grade” about their teaching. I feel it would benefit both the students and the teachers in many ways as making the learning environment better and both teachers and students understanding each other better.
